I grew up in a house with paintings on every wall, to parents who fostered my love of the arts. Having studied art themselves, there was never a shortage of music, books or craft supplies to pass the days away. From day one I was THAT kid who thrived in art class.

I attended a specialized arts high school where we immersed ourselves daily in pottery, printmaking, painting, photography, and much more. These years trained my eye to analyze colour, form, symmetry, grids, balance, hierarchy and all the design principles that I use to this day.

When I learned what graphic design was, my love of beautiful packaging, pouring over magazine layouts, and selecting just the right font for essays finally made sense. I thought, “this is a job that someone will actually pay me for?”

I haven’t had a moment of doubt since.
